About Dr Butler
Dr. Butler was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi where he graduated from Wingfield High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 1979. He attended Medical School at the University of Mississippi where he received his medical degree in 1983. He completed his internship and residency in 1987 at the University of South Alabama and began his OB/GYN practice that same year.
Dr. Butler is married to the former Ann Wells. They have three children, Megan, James and Haley, and one granddaughter. Dr. Butler is a member of the First Methodist Church. During his free time Dr. Butler enjoys traveling, photography, gardening and spending time with his family.
Dr. Butler is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the Federal Licensing Examination Board. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Alabama Association of Obsterics and Gynecology, Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Houston County Medical Society.
